Exgenex has developed a system whereby registrants have his or her CME/CEU units tracked automatically as they enter and exit session rooms. After the registrant leaves the session their award is available for them to print on demand, as well as being available to the event organizer, immediately. The information can be downloaded or uploaded directly to the Association or governing body, saving a tremendous amount of time.

Session visitors (Dentists, Assistants and Hygenists) swiped their magnetic-stripe name badge through a badge reader attached to a laptop at the entrance to the session room on the way into the session and again when upon exiting the room. The application kept track of what session the visitor attended and the total amount of time spent at the session. The appropriate CME/CEU was then issued based on the length of time spent at the session.

Upon exiting the session room, visitors could go to the CE Pavilion to complete a speaker survey on the sessions attended. This process had to be completed in order for CME/CEU credits to be issued. Once the visitor swiped their badge through the card reader at the CE Pavilion a list of sessions attended was displayed along with text that identified which surveys had yet to be completed. By clicking on the "Complete the Survey" button, a set of four questions were asked. Once completed, a confirmation email was sent to the visitor informing them that their CME/CEU certificate would be sent to them within six weeks and thanking them for completing their survey(s). This survey could also be completed online after the event.
